This article describes one of the synthesis algorithms that works well with the Continuum Fingerboard. This synthesis algorithm is an area of ongoing research, and is available as open source Loris. The real-time implementation of this algorithm is available only for users of Symbolic Sound Corporation's Kyma Sound Design Workstation; Midi synthesizers do not implement this synthesis algorithm.
